Is he the same as William G. Cress (who mar. Minnie Brown)?? Edgar’s book pg 531 says that Wm Allen Cress mar. Minnie Brown in 1897, but I have Wise co. marriage record that says Wm G. Cress mar. Minnie Brown in 1897!!
