He compiled much of the history of the FRITTS family of Johnson Co., TN in the 1970s. (SV-1061B pg 193)
He graduated from ETSU in 1925. (SV-827)
He taughter for years and then was superintendent of Johnson Co., TN schools for some years, then purchased the Tomahawk and operated it for 10 years. (SV-827)
1927 He graduated from East TN State Teachers College with a Bachelor’s degree and taught 2 years in Johnson Co. High School. Then he became the Johnson Co. Superintendent of Schools holding this position intermitently until 1939. (SV-1061B pg 202)
1947 he bought a 200 ac. farm in Washington Co., MD and operated the farm until 1954. From 1949 to 1956 he was again superintendent of Johnson Co., TN schools. He purchased the weekly newspaper, The Tomahawk and operated it for 10 years. After selling the newspaper he again became superintendent of Johnson Co., TN schools until his retirement in 1976.
