Is he a brother to George Lewis ?? If so, he was probably not born in Wales but was from Spotsylvania Co., VA and possibly lived in Culpeper Co., VA in the late 1750s.

Note: John in Calif. says that a bundle of records existed regarding James T. Lewis but they burned in two fires in Hyden, KY in the 1970s and thos who had read them said that James T. indicated his father was Nathaniel and that James was 8-9 yrs old when he and his father arrived in the Colonies.
