1850: Living in Whitley Co., KY aged 26 with wife, Nancy aged 35. (SV-269) but must have been married in another county as SV-268 shows no Cress marriages.
1853 Hiram Cress purchased grant for 100 acres on Laurel River in Whitley co., KY. (SV-304 pg 1067)
1860 Claiborne Co., TN census: Aged 35, living with wife, Nancy (45 VA) & zero children. (SV-333 & SV-404 pg 728)
