Could she have been living with daughter, Nancy Jane Parsons Cress during latter part of Civil War as story by Barbara: Civil War Captain Hayes’ guerilla’s came through Cutshin area and destroyed much. He threatened to burn down the Cress house but Nancy Jane (Moma) quarrelled with him but grandma was timid and didn’t say anything. Or could it have been Barbara’s other grandmother, Charlotte Bausley?
